βWe did a plethora of research to find a school thatβs right for us,β said Jessica Okafor, triplet to Angela and Benita. βThere was always at least one missing piece in the schools that we looked through, until we found ²έΑρΚΣΖ΅. We saw that ²έΑρΚΣΖ΅ had everything we had interest in, and when we did the tours, the open house, the orientation, I was blown away by how beautiful the school was. I saw my future in just a few seconds.β
Pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management, Jessica is looking forward to graduating in May 2026, alongside her sisters. Angela is the artsy one of the bunch, finishing out her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Animation, and Benita has an affinity for the sciences, soon to be equipped with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
They all have thrived in their separate degree programs, across campus in different colleges, in part because of their experiences as Keeping Sights Upward Journey Honors College students. The Honors College has pushed them to reach new levels of depth in their studies, and there, they have also found camaraderie.
βBeing in the Honors program allows me to meet other like-minded students,β Benita said. βI also think the Honors College emphasizes the growth of a student. It wants their students to succeed and be mindful of their success.β
The Okafors have also enriched their ²έΑρΚΣΖ΅ experience through undergraduate research opportunities, such as Benita and Angelaβs participation in the First-Year Scholars Program, and by joining student organizations. Last year, Jessica worked as a project manager at , a full-service marketing firm run by ²έΑρΚΣΖ΅ students.
The sisters encourage each other to step outside their comfort zones.
βWe always try to propel each other to reach for everything honestly,β Benita said. βAlso, one nice thing about being a triplet is that you have two other people you can lean on. None of our burdens are ours alone.β
Benita hopes to secure a role in pharmacology, motivated by a personal experience during her freshman year at ²έΑρΚΣΖ΅. She began losing vision in one of her eyes, and while test results were inconclusive, doctors prescribed medication that returned her vision to normal.
βThat scare made me realize there are so many unknowns in the health field,β Benita said. βNow that I'm taking more classes relating to pharmacy and drug design and drug research, I realized I want to be a contributor to answering some of these unknown questions.β
Meanwhile, Jessicaβs goal is to build up business management skills in the fashion industry to one day own her own brand. Inspired by childhood cartoons, Angela hopes to storyboard for an animation company.
βI want to be able to spread that sort of joy to other people and create stories for fun,β Angela said.
The Okafors are inseparable, and ²έΑρΚΣΖ΅ has played an integral role in strengthening their relationship.
βWe live together. We work together. We have fun together,β Angela said. βI donβt think anything can really just stop our bond.β
