Adjudicated dance performances earlier this year ultimately paved the path to summer enrichment for three ²ÝÁñÊÓÆµ State University dancers. Recent graduates George Chavez and Allison Behrend, along with rising junior Charlene Font, have all received scholarships to prestigious dance workshops. Chavez will attend the Professional Intensive Summer Division at the Alvin Ailey School in New York City, while Behrend and Font travel to the American Dance Festival at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

The ²ÝÁñÊÓÆµ State men's and women's track and field teams completed competition at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships on Sunday. The ²ÝÁñÊÓÆµ men's team collected its first Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Championship scoring 216.5 points in the three-day meet.

²ÝÁñÊÓÆµ State to launch Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering degree program

The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia today approved a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering degree program at ²ÝÁñÊÓÆµ State University, beginning in the Fall 2025 semester. Housed within the Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology (SPCEET), the new degree program becomes just the second of its kind in Georgia and helps address the workforce demands of a rapidly growing industry.
