We recruit highly motivated incoming ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ students who are determined to reach their full potential in college and strive to make a difference in the world after graduation. We are looking for talented people who are willing to work hard and make an impact.

Our standards are high. While we have open minds about who we accept into the PEGS program, generally our students achieved a high school academic GPA, as computed by ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Undergraduate Admissions, of greater than or equal to a 3.7, and a record of community engagement or volunteerism.

How to ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ

The application deadline for Fall 2025 cohort admission is February 1, 2025
  • Review all the criteria and eligibility to participate in the President's Emerging Global Scholars (PEGS).

  • On your ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ State University Application, indicate interest in the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Journey Honors College
    • Complete all related questions in the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Journey Honors College tab of the application and indicate interest in the PEGS Cohort.
    • Complete the essay prompt.

  • For PEGS consideration, you must be accepted to both ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ State University and ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Journey Honors College on or before  February 1, 2025. 
    • PEGS Application review begins on February 2.
    • Students accepted to ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ State University and ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Journey Honors College after February 1 will not be considered for the PEGS Cohort. 
    • ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Journey Honors College recommends that prospective PEGS students submit their complete ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ State University application eight weeks prior to the PEGS deadline for best consideration.
  • Save the Date! Honors Interview Day - March 1, 2025
    • Top PEGS applicants will be invited to attend Honors Interview Day where they will interview for one of the Fall 2025 PEGS Cohort seats.

How the PEGS Review Process Works

  • Once you are admitted to ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ State University for the Fall 2025 term, your application is received by the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Journey Honors College.
  • The ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Journey Honors College may take 6-8 weeks after your ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ State admission date to send your ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Journey Honors College admissions decision.
  • Once admitted to ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ State and the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Journey Honors College, your application will be reviewed by the PEGS Cohort Committee.
  • After the PEGS Cohort application deadline, the top PEGS Cohort applicants will be contacted via ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ email with an invitation to attend Honors Interview Day on March 1, 2025. 
  • Seats in the Fall 2025 PEGS Cohort will be offered after Honors Interview Day, and students are given two weeks to accept or decline their PEGS seat and scholarship.
