Admission Requirements

  • An earned BA or BS degree in communication or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 3.0 GPA preferred. The Graduate College requires a minimum 2.75 GPA from degree-granting institution.
  • Official transcripts
  • Evidence of English language proficiency
  • Letter of application
  • Two-page resume
  • Work example and 500-word personal statement
  • Three letters of recommendation

Prior experience in communication practices is preferred, but excellent applicants without communication-related experience will be considered. The GRE is no longer required for admission. Full and part-time enrollment available. Classes are scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on weeknights. Application deadline for spring semester is November 1. Application deadline for fall semester is August 1.  Full-time enrollment begins each fall only. Transfer Credit

The transfer of credit for course work completed at another institution will be reviewed on an individual basis by the program director.
